Founded in 1916, Duracell started initially with the manufacture
of tungsten wire for light bulb filaments, in a factory in Port Cluster, New York.
By the late 1930's various breakthroughs in the field of portable
power, instigated by Duracell, produced the first mercury cell. That first mercury cell is
the forerunner of today's world famous Duracell alkaline batteries.
In today's modern world, Duracell produces the longest lasting
batteries with Titanium technology, which last up to 7 times longer than ordinary
batteries.
Since the acquisition of Duracell by The Gillette
Company in 1996, we have been importing, distributing and expanding the market share of
Duracell batteries in Bulgaria. Our specialized staff of Gillette salesmen acquired the
knowledge to promote Duracell as well and within the last year there has been a
significant increase in our share in the battery sector.
Other unique features include: unique six packs, superior performance,
5 years shelf life and they are known to be less hazardous to the environment. All these
features make them best sellers. Another innovating features that Duracell presents is the
Powercheck function, located on the actual battery.
In 1998, Stambouli Bulgaria Ltd. initiated various promotional
activities for Duracell, which included various games and awards, T-shirts, caps, pins,
footballs and the famous Duracell bunny as prices.
